Amanda Moreau
MSN, RN
Clinical Instructor - Simulation
She/Her/Hers
Amanda Moreau is the traditional undergraduate clinical coordinator and a clinical instructor. Amanda has been an emergency department nurse since graduating from the UConn School of Nursing, where she developed a passion for nursing education through working with new graduate nurses. She coordinates the clinical scheduling and requirements for the traditional undergraduate juniors and seniors, performs site visits with the clinical groups, and navigates clinical challenges if they arise. Amanda hires, orients, and supports the full-time and adjunct nursing faculty working with students in the clinical setting. Amanda helps maintain UConn School of Nursing’s strong relationships with the clinical agencies throughout Connecticut. She also is a clinical instructor, teaching students both in the off-campus clinical setting as well as on-campus in the simulation lab. Recently she has brought her emergency nursing expertise to the simulation lab by helping create and facilitate a capstone simulation experience for senior nursing students. As a UConn nursing student, she was an active member of Urban Service Track, Student Nurses Association, and the study abroad program in Cape Town, South Africa. She looks forward to continuing interprofessional collaboration, nursing in underserved populations, and global nursing through continued work with the IPE committee, initiatives with Charter Oak Health Center, and more.
