She/Her/Hers
Jessica Hutchinson’s, RN, MSN, CMSRN, teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that nursing education should empower students, not intimidate them. Her goal as an educator is to cultivate confidence, curiosity, critical thinking, and independence. She strives to create a learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, reflect on their experiences, and grow into competent and compassionate nurses.
Hutchinson believes in inclusive teaching, using Universal Design for Learning principles to meet the diverse needs of all students. By fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, she aims to help students succeed academically and become the kind of nurses who advocate for patients and themselves. In both the classroom and clinical setting, she encourages and exemplifies professionalism, advocacy, and accountability so students can develop their identity as future nurses. Hutchinson’s goal is to challenge students while empowering them, so they graduate practice ready.
