Becky Sievers is a full-time clinical instructor for UConn’s School of Nursing. She began working as a RN on a surgical unit specializing in bariatric and gastrointestinal surgeries and developed an interest in wound care and healing. She continued to work on the surgical unit, as well as a wound care nurse at an outpatient clinic, before eventually moving to her hospital’s float pool. She developed a strong interest in precepting new nurse graduates and student nurses and obtained her MSN in Nursing Education in December of 2019. Becky worked as adjunct faculty with Goodwin University and Quinnipiac University before joining UConn in 2024. She focuses on creating a positive, safe learning environment in the clinical setting so that all students can thrive.
