Professor Watson is a full time Clinical Instructor at the University of Connecticut School of Nursing. She graduated from Villanova University’s traditional BSN program and began her nursing career as a cardiothoracic surgical stepdown nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Jessica later became a travel nurse in California and throughout many Northeastern cities growing her experience working on ambulatory, medical surgical, telemetry, oncology, and stepdown units. After several years as a travel nurse, she acquired her Master’s of Science in Nurse Education and Faculty Role from Drexel University. In recent years, Jessica has been actively working in neonatal nursing and ambulatory care. As a Nurse Educator, Jessica has extensive experience in simulation, skills lab, and the clinical setting working at Drexel University and Eastern University. She is an active member of the American Holistic Nurse Association, National League for Nursing, and American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Jessica is passionate about holistic nursing and health practices for improved patient outcomes, community health promotion, and disease prevention.
