Carelink is an award-winning community university program created by the UConn School of Nursing used by organizations including Center for Correctional Health Networks.

Program Overview

Through the Carelink program, UConn undergraduate nursing students provide supervised health care services to a community of elders.

During the past seven years the Carelink program has served over 420 clients and educated 310 students. Student and patient satisfaction surveys have shown consistent high levels of both patient and student satisfaction. Small-scale evaluation results show significant health improvements for participating elders.
